Mariana Martínez Balvanera is a spatial and social designer based in Amsterdam and Mexico City, working in the realm of community lead urban and rural placemaking projects within the critical spatial practice approach. Since 2018 Mariana co-founded Cocina Colaboratorio where she leads creative programming in public space aimed at environmental and social sustainability, using food as main common ground.
Dr. Rachel Epp Buller is a feminist art historian printmaker book artist professor and mother of three. She holds a PhD in art history and an MFA in creative practice. Much of her artistic, written, and curatorial work has addressed the maternal body and feminist care in contemporary art contexts. Her current writing and artistic research explores slow practices, such as walking and stitching, with a particular focus on letter-writing as an act of relational care and a radical intervention into practices of academic scholarship.

She studied dance in Canada and France, and completed a Master’s degree in Choreography and Performance at the University of Giessen, Germany. Her pieces question the systems of artistic production and their relationship to society. She seeks the moment when dance generates unintelligible, whatever-like subjectivities and collectives. She works always in collaboration and long term associations (Caroline Creutzburg, Miriam Schulte, Else Tunemyr, Zuzana Zabkova, Gretchen Blegen) for choreography, dramaturgy, teaching and performance.
