Mariana Martínez Balvanera is a spatial and social designer based in Amsterdam and Mexico City, working in the realm of community lead urban and rural placemaking projects within the critical spatial practice approach. Since 2018 Mariana co-founded Cocina Colaboratorio where she leads creative programming in public space aimed at environmental and social sustainability, using food as main common ground.
Dr. Rachel Epp Buller is a feminist art historian printmaker book artist professor and mother of three. She holds a PhD in art history and an MFA in creative practice. Much of her artistic, written, and curatorial work has addressed the maternal body and feminist care in contemporary art contexts. Her current writing and artistic research explores slow practices, such as walking and stitching, with a particular focus on letter-writing as an act of relational care and a radical intervention into practices of academic scholarship.

Catalina Insignares is a Colombian choreographer and dancer based in Paris. She studied dance in Canada and France, and completed a Master’s degree in Choreography and Performance at the University of Giessen, Germany. Her pieces question the systems of artistic production and their relationship to society. She seeks the moment when dance generates unintelligible, whatever-like subjectivities and collectives. She works always in collaboration and long term associations (Caroline Creutzburg, Miriam Schulte, Else Tunemyr, Zuzana Zabkova, Gretchen Blegen) for choreography, dramaturgy, teaching and performance.

Carolina Mendonça is interested in contamination of knowledge and in being vulnerable to different logics. Graduated in Performing Arts at ECA-USP and with Master’s in Choreography and Performance at Giessen University in Germany. Her latest projects are Pulp- History as a Warm Wet Place (2018) in Mousonturm that deals with an intuitive archeology digesting the leftovers of the XVII-XVIII centuries; useless land (2018) a night reading that invites de audience to sleep that happened in many different contexts such as MAerzmusik in Berlin, Ferme de Buisson in Paris, Beursschouwburg in Brussels and Sesta in Prague among others; We, the Undamaged others (2017) a work that puts in question happiness as an horizon that organizes our lives, premiered at Oswald de Andrade in São Paulo and showed in MIT-2018; Falling (2016) explores sleeping as a possible dance practice presented at Mousonturm.

Dr. Carolina Rito is Professor of Creative Practice Research, at the Research Centre for Arts, Memory and Communities (CAMC), at Coventry University, UK; and leads the centre’s Critical Practices research strand. Carolina Rito is a researcher and curator whose work explores ‘the curatorial’ as an investigative practice, expanding practice-based research in the fields of curating, visual arts, visual cultures and cultural studies. In her work, Rito has been preoccupied with the notions of knowledge production in the field of the curatorial. This has meant that her interest resides on how practices – such as curating – produce new knowledge, or, in other words, produce a particular way of understanding the world.

Lorenzo Sandoval works as an artist and curator, and produces spatial devices that work as narrative machines. Since 2015, Sandoval runs The Institute for Endotic Research, which opened as a venue in 2018 in Berlin, co-directed by Benjamin Busch, and recently by Amouefa Amoussouvi too. His recent research deals with divergent genealogies of the connections between image production, textile making and computation.

Michelle Teran (born in Canada) is an educator, artist, and researcher. She is practice-oriented Research Professor Social Practices at the Research Centre Willem de Kooning Academy (WdKA).
Her current and ongoing research areas are: socially engaged art, counter-cartographies, social movements, transmedia storytelling, feminist, eco-social and critical pedagogy.
