MFA Alums Honi Ryan & Abi Tariq, resident artists at POUSH collaborate on an exhibition titled Expectation is the Mother as a part of a series of 6 duwoshows in the RIFT space.

The show runs from February 22 to March 15

This dialogue between two performance artists, who have been collaborating for 10 years, is in anticipation of their biggest collaboration yet: the birth of their child.🧚🏽‍♂️

Tariq and Ryan build an installation in monochrome reflecting a sense of waiting, anticipation, and not-knowing. Text notations made by Tariq on chalkboard, and gestural abstractions by Ryan on paper, capture this moment of expectation. The works stand opposite each other speaking of the organic and calculated unknown.
